HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN THE DRYING OF DISPERSE MATERIALS IN COCURRENT DRUM DRIERS
A. O. Safonov UDC 539.215.4 Heat and mass transfer which accompanies the process of drying of disperse materials in cocurrent drum driers has been studied. The results of modeling of moisture removal from dried disperse material under the effect of a temperature field with account for the hydrodynamic situation in the drum drier allow one to run the process with minimum deviations of the final humidity and temperature of particles from specified values. A system of control over the drum driers, which considerably decreases the consumption of energy carriers and improves the efficiency of the equipment used, has been developed and implemented.
