TO A FROST CRACK

We have carried out a comparative evaluation of the resistance 
of polyethylene and steel pipes to the action of a frost crack, i.e., 
to the discontinuity in the near-surface ground layer resulting from 
the occurrence of complex geocryological processes in the season-thawing 
layer of ever-frozen grounds.
