Golikova UDC 504.064.36:621.039.76 To date, in the territory of Belarus 92 deactivation waste storages (DWS) formed as a result of the deactivation of settlements after the Chernobyl catastrophe have been registered. Most of them are located in places that are unfit for storing radioactive waste. We consider the formation of dataware for evaluating the potential danger of DWSs based on the results of the examination of objects, field and laboratory investigations, and calculation-theoretical research and on the literature information about the features of radionuclide migration through engineered and natural barriers to the water-bearing horizon.
