BY AN ELLIPSOIDAL SOURCE

The axisymmetric distribution of the excess temperature 
of a fill in the case of the presence of an ellipsoidally shaped thermal 
source in it has been expanded in a double series. The influence of 
the site of location and dimensions of the source and of heat-exchange 
conditions on the values of the steady-state excess temperature has 
been studied by calculation.
