STABILITY OF IONIZED BEAMS

Based on a solution of a system of the Poisson-Vlasov 
equations a dispersion equation is obtained for a wide class of initial 
disturbances taking into account the influence of boundary conditions 
on development of the instability in ionized beams. A procedure for 
determining the stability limit for both the unrestricted and restricted 
multicomponent ionized beams is suggested.
