HEATING OF PRODUCTION WOOD CHIPS
IN A SATURATED-STEAM MEDIUM

A mathematical model of heat and mass transfer in 
wood chips subjected to hydrothermal treatment in a saturated-steam 
medium for constant parameters of the external medium is developed. 
Filling of capillaries with a liquid moving with a finite velocity 
is responsible for the presence of different zones in which condensate 
transfer is determined by the corresponding mechanisms.
