ELECTROSTATIC METHOD OF DETERMINING
THE EXTERIOR SPECIFIC SURFACE OF SOILS

Consideration is given to the underlying principle 
of the method of determination of the exterior specific surface of 
soils using an electrostatic field. The results obtained by the electrostatic 
method are shown to correlate with data obtained in determining the 
total specific area by the method of steam sorption.
