CHARACTERISTICS FOR GENERALIZED HERMOMECHANICAL 
FIELDS IN VISCOUS FLUID MEDIA

In the context of a general theory of characteristics, 
thermomechanical processes are considered in fluid media with the 
final heat-propagation velocity. The equations of propagation of 
characteristics for two variants of the theory of a viscous fluid 
medium are derived, and ways of applying them for determining 
displacement velocities are indicated.
