A NEW POSSIBILITY OF BUILDING UP THIN DIAMOND FILMS 
IN PRECIPITATION OF CARBON FROM THE GASEOUS PHASE

A new method for building up thin diamond films is 
suggested based on the difference in the rates of sublimation of graphite 
and diamond. It is recommended that this method be used for producing 
diamond films at temperatures above 1000oC 
without application of a chemical etching agent.
