Asymptotic formulas describing the modes of site thermal 
explosions with an arbitrary initial distribution of temperature and 
results of calculation by these formulas are presented. A comparison 
with the data obtained by other authors is made and the effect of 
the presence of two "traveling waves" is revealed.
