PROPAGATION OF THE EXHAUST GASES FROM A CAR AND TURBULENT DIFFUSION IN THE AIR OVER A ROAD
It is shown that the scattering of the exhaust gases from a car is mainly due to their vertical turbulent diff usion with a coeffi cient increasing with increase in the velocity of the wind over the car or in the velocity of movement of the car. Results of numerical solution of the equation for the convective diff usion of the exhaust gases from a single car are presented. Qualitative estimates of the propagation of the exhaust gases from a convoy of cars have been made
