LBM SIMULATION OF MIXED CONVECTION IN A TILTED LID-DRIVEN CAVITY COOLED WITH A NONUNIFORM TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN THE PRESENCE OF RADIATION

The laminar mixed heat convection coupled with the surface radiation in an inclined lid-driven square cavity was investigated numerically using the lattice Boltzmann method. The moving wall of the cavity was heated to a constant temperature, and the opposite cavity wall was cooled to a spatially varying temperature. The results of the study show that the combined eff ect of the Richardson number and the inclination of the cavity on the structure of the fl uid fl ow and the heat transfer in it is signifi cant. The changes in the structure of the fl uid fl ow in the cavity with change in the inclination of the cavity are notably aff ected by the radiation of its surface.
