VISCOUS PROPERTIES OF PETROLEUM-CONTAINING WASTE WATERS FROM INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES
Investigations on estimating the rheological properties of waste water containing various quantities of petroleum products have been conducted. The dependences of the density and dynamic viscosity of water–petroleum emulsions on the content of petroleum products in them have been studied. Kerosene and motor oil have been selected as petroleum products. To compare the results of calculations of the viscosity of water–petroleum emulsions with corresponding experimental data, simulation of the properties of the indicated emulsions has been made with the use of various correlations and of Einstein's and Safarov's equations
